Hi, I’m Demi.

I’m originally from the Midwest but I’ve called Seattle home for over 10 years. I spent that first decade working as a writer in tech where I met my now husband.

From in-home daycares to case workers, my young life was shaped by the caregivers I looked up to. A common thread in my family has always been the care of young families. This is my way of joining that lineage.

I also have a young child so my own postpartum season was not too long ago. I struggled during that time and am so honored to pay it forward via this work. I know exactly how it feels when you’re lost at sea as a new parent.

In my free time, I love being with my family, quilting, baking bread, gardening, and mindful living.

Pricing + Availability

We’ll work together to create a plan of care but here’s a general overview. My goal is to remain flexible since those early days of parenting can come with unexpected moments.

  • I’m available Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm PST.

  • Areas covered typically include West Seattle, Burien, South Seattle, Renton, and Maple Valley.

  • Pricing starts at $55 per hour with a 4 hour minimum to ensure all activities are completed.

  • An example schedule could run for 6 - 12 weeks with 2-3 visits per week. The final weeks may drop to 1 visit per week as the family gains more confidence.

Why I do this work

Becoming a new parent can be one of the most wondrous and difficult periods in life. And yet, we’ve been doing it since the beginning of time. This journey continues but the access to postpartum care has become more complicated in our modern world.

It may sound simple to have someone come into your home and just help out. But that’s exactly what I do.

Thoughtful, holistic postpartum care can set families up for long term success. That’s why I’m also passionate about the emotional wellbeing of new parents. It can be extremely helpful to have this type of support during such a sacred time.

The dishes can often wait. Laundry can be folded tomorrow. But postpartum mental health often needs prioritized so parents can adequately handle the surprises and challenges of taking on this new role.

Let’s talk.
